Veneers: An Introduction
Veneers are a cosmetic dental treatment that addresses various teeth imperfections. They consist of custom-designed, ultra-thin, tooth-colored shells that are both strong and durable. The size, shape, and overall design of the veneers are tailored to each patient's specific dental concerns. These shells are bonded to the visible side of the teeth, effectively covering and correcting any flaws, resulting in an improved appearance. Our highly skilled and trusted dentist, Dr. Puneet Sandhu, ensures that the design of your veneers complements your smile, face, and overall look. Achieving a beautiful smile transformation requires the veneers to be in harmony with your facial features.
Veneers can address various problems.
Do Veneers have a long lifespan?
What occurs during the process of dental veneer bonding?
The veneer bonding process typically requires multiple appointments to complete. The first appointment involves evaluation and treatment planning, as well as showing you the final outcome of your smile. Another appointment is dedicated to tooth preparation, during which the dentist removes a few millimeters of your tooth. This step is crucial to ensure that the veneers, once attached, lie flat and appear natural in your mouth. Dr. Sandhu will then take impressions of your teeth, which will be used to create your permanent veneers, either using impression materials or digitally.
Once the veneers are ready, Dr. Sandhu will skillfully bond them into place, ensuring that you achieve the desired look. A bonding resin is applied to the tooth to permanently adhere the veneers. Dr. Sandhu will also check your bite and make any necessary adjustments to ensure that you achieve the smile transformation you desire.
