Dental implants offer a reliable and permanent solution for replacing missing teeth, eliminating the need for removable dentures. These implants provide exceptional support and stability for dental appliances.
Implants consist of artificial roots and teeth, typically made of titanium, which are surgically implanted into the jaw bone by a dentist or Periodontist, a specialist in gum and bone health. The resulting teeth look incredibly natural and can greatly enhance or restore a patient's smile.
Dental implants are known for their strength and durability, ensuring they can last for many years. Occasionally, they may require re-tightening or replacement due to normal wear and tear.

What is the process of getting dental implants?
The process of getting implants requires multiple visits over several months. X-rays and impressions are taken to assess the jaw and teeth for implant placement. The implant is surgically placed into the bone and allowed to heal for up to six months. A second surgery may be needed to attach the post that will hold the artificial tooth. In some cases, the post and anchor are already attached and placed simultaneously.
After a few weeks of healing, the artificial teeth are made and fitted to the post. This step may take one to two months due to multiple fittings. Once healed, the artificial teeth are securely attached to the implant, providing stability and comfort.
After completion of the treatment, you will receive care instructions. Maintaining good oral hygiene, healthy eating habits, and regular dental visits will help prolong the life of your new implant.
