Step 1: Call Your Orthodontist’s Office Right Away 

If your Invisalign aligner has gone missing, the first thing you should do is call your orthodontist’s office and explain the situation. Even though you may feel embarrassed about losing an aligner, know that it happens to many people and your orthodontist will have likely heard similar stories before. They’ll be able to provide advice on how best to proceed with getting a replacement set of aligners as quickly as possible. 

Step 2: Order A Replacement Set Of Aligners

This usually involves sending an impression of your teeth (or scan) to Invisalign so they can make a new set of custom-fit aligners that fit perfectly in your mouth. It typically takes about one or two weeks for the replacement set of aligners to arrive at the orthodontist’s office from Invisalign.
