❓ Total Wellness & Oral Health: FAQ
Does my oral health really affect my overall wellness?
Yes. Poor dental health has been linked to heart disease, diabetes, and inflammation. A healthy mouth supports immunity and lowers your risk of chronic illness.
Can stress really affect my teeth or gums?
Definitely. Stress can lead to clenching, grinding, gum inflammation, and even canker sores. Incorporating wellness practices like yoga and massage helps reduce these issues.
Are smoothies and juices bad for my teeth?
They can be if they’re high in sugar or citrus. Choose green or nut-based blends and rinse with water afterward. Avoid sipping slowly throughout the day.
Why visit the dentist if I brush and floss?
Even with great home care, plaque and tartar can build up in hard-to-reach spots. Routine cleanings and exams catch small issues early and keep your smile strong.
How often should I floss?
Daily! It’s the only way to clean between your teeth and prevent gum disease and decay. Think of it like stretching after a workout—essential, not optional.
